An introduction to coding for kids using the popular visual programming tool Scratch, developed by MIT. Kids will learn how Scratch works, basic coding concepts and build some cool games and animations.
Dive into one of the most popular programming languages currently and learn about loops, variables, conditionals and lists in this fun camp. Help a monkey catch bananas and learn to code!
“I enrolled my son in a group class, and he was in heaven. He learned so much and had a wonderful experience. I could not be much happier having my boys in a program where they are learning to think critically and analytically and at the same coding their games”
“My sons had a fantastic time learning Scratch coding (and it even continued on their own at home to edit the video games etc. they created :) Andy was more than accommodating throughout the entire process and was very easy to communicate with as well (by both phone & email). We are now planning to look at Python coding next, given the ‘top notch’ experience our family had there :)”
“My daughter took all three classes for Roblox game design, and had a great time. The instructor Steven was very informative and knowledgeable, and he answered questions very well. The class itself was very fun and encouraged creativity and problem solving, which my daughter enjoyed very much. Overall, the class was excellent, I would recommend it to anyone who is curious about game design.”
“My daughter learnt a great deal and has taken a keen interest in Scratch thereafter, exploring and creating a variety of projects. The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, explained concepts well and made sure she understood everything and was on the same page as everyone else. A great platform to keep her engaged in these trying times and a wonderful introduction to the world of coding!”
For the Scratch and Python camps, any laptop or desktop computer (including Chromebooks) with a modern internet browser such as Chrome or Firefox is sufficient. For the Roblox camp, Windows or Mac laptops/desktops will be required.
There will be a maximum of 6 students in each cohort.
Unfortunately, all the camps run for 5 days so we will not be able to adjust the camp fee in case your child is unable to attend all the days
