They will be introduced to scripting using Lua and build their first simple game in Roblox. Subsequently, students will design a platformer (obstacle course) or 'Obby' in Roblox. Through this, they will be learning the various aspects of programming in Lua and understand loops, data types, conditionals, complex loops, iterations, variables and functions.
In the Unit 2 lessons, students will utilize all their learning on Roblox Studio and Lua programming to create a full-fledged soccer game of their own. This will include creating their own soccer stadiums and developing a team-based computer game using functions and conditional logic. At the end of the course, the students will fall in love with this immersive game engine and will become creators rather than being just consumers in Roblox.
